There are multiple benefits that come from an XL, or HD resolution, sensor, but here’s one that deserves more attention: pixel to pixel lossless image transfer. In our HD line devices, the resolution of the thermal sensor now matches that of the AMOLED display – they are both 1024x768 pixels. This means that now, each signal from every pixel of the sensor is translated directly into each pixel of the display. That way, there’s no need for scaling. And no need for scaling means no need for noise
