Let's talk about Winny's shell rot and why I'm not treating it with things like betadine, iodine, copper, colloidial silver, or antibiotics. Basically it boils down to Winny's specific physiology. She has a nephritic pad inside her mouth that hosts microbes that break down the nitrates and nitrites in her urine so that she can reabsorb water.
