The top waveform is a smooth sinusoidal input, representing a continuous-time analog signal. Below it, the stepped waveforms show the sampled versions of the same signal at different clock frequencies. When the sampling frequency is high (1 kHz), the sampled signal closely follows the original waveform, preserving its shape and amplitude information accurately.
